Popular Political Singer Kosan Waka Dies at 47

Muhammadu Buhari, popularly known as Kosan Waka, a renowned political singer, has died at the age of 47. His family reported that he passed away on Sunday, and he will be buried in Tsanni Village, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, at 5 pm.

In a statement from Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the spokesperson for Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor expressed deep sadness over Waka's death and extended condolences to his family. Governor Yusuf sympathized with Waka's mother, relatives, friends, associates, fans, and the people of Kano State.

He described Kosan Waka as “a Kano-based patriotic son of Katsina whose music transcended politics and served as a powerful tool for promoting unity, culture, and public enlightenment.” The governor prayed for Allah to forgive Waka’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and provide strength to his family during this difficult time. Kosan Waka was recognized for his significant contributions to political communication and Hausa entertainment.
