Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Mourns Singer Kosan Waka

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf expressed his condolences following the death of Muhammadu Buhari, popularly known as Kosan Waka, a celebrated Hausa political singer who died on Sunday at the age of 47 after a brief illness. The governor's message was conveyed through a statement from his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa.

The family announced that Kosan Waka would be buried in his hometown of Tsanni, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, at 5 p.m. on the same day. Governor Yusuf described Kosan Waka as a patriotic son of Katsina whose music transcended politics, promoting unity, culture, and public enlightenment.

He acknowledged the singer's significant contributions to political communication and the Hausa entertainment industry, emphasizing that his talent and creativity had a lasting impact on many lives across Nigeria.
