Nigerian Singer Portable Remanded in Custody Over Assault and Car Theft Charges

Portable, also known as Habe Okikiola, was arraigned in a Federal High Court in Ota, Ogun State on nine criminal charges including assault, theft, causing harm, and resisting arrest. The charges stem from an incident where Portable allegedly assaulted his estranged partner, Ashabi, and stole a Mercedes Benz E300 worth N12 million.

Ashabi testified against him, leading to his remand in custody pending a fresh bail hearing on January 19, 2026.
