Gunmen Kill Two in Plateau State Rim Village Attack

On Tuesday night, around 10:30 PM, gunmen attacked Rim Village in the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others. The assailants opened fire sporadically before fleeing into nearby bushes.

The injured victims were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Rwang Tengwong, a representative of the Berom Youth Movement, described the attack as a tragic episode that highlights the ongoing insecurity affecting the Riyom community.

He urged security forces to intensify patrols in the area to apprehend the perpetrators. Efforts to obtain comments from the Plateau Police Command's spokesperson, SP Alfr Alabo, were unsuccessful.

This incident underscores the persistent security challenges faced by communities in Plateau State.
