Premiere Academy Wins 2026 Energy Titans Contest

Premiere Academy, located in Abuja, emerged as the overall winner of the 2026 Battle of the Energy Titans contest, surpassing 11 finalists. The competition, organized by the NNPC Foundation in partnership with Oloibiri Oil and Gas, aimed to address Nigeria's energy poverty through innovative solutions.

The event was part of the annual Youth Energy STEAM Festival (YE Fest) 2026, themed "Young Innovators Solving Energy Poverty." A total of 45 schools from across the Federal Capital Territory and other parts of Nigeria participated, with 12 schools advancing to the final stage. Premiere Academy was recognized for its creativity, teamwork, and technical expertise, securing the overall best award and a cash prize of ₦500,000.

The school's principal, Mr. Chri Akinsowon, stated that this achievement reflects the institution's commitment to excellence and innovation.

The competition also aimed to nurture new energy entrepreneurs and equip students with the necessary skills to tackle energy access challenges in Africa.
