Presidency Mourns Peter Onwubuariri's Passing

The Presidency has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Peter Onwubuariri, who served as the Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations in the Presidential Villa. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, visited Onwubuariri’s family in Abuja to convey condolences.

Onanuga led a delegation of presidential media aides and members of the Media and Public Relations Department, emphasizing Onwubuariri's hard work and reliability. He noted that Onwubuariri's contributions, particularly as a master of ceremonies at presidential events, would be greatly missed.

Onanuga stated, “His death has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.” Tunde Rahman, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, praised Onwubuariri as a dedicated workaholic who consistently delivered excellent results. Former Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, also expressed his shock and described Onwubuariri as a dependable partner.

The deceased’s family expressed gratitude for the support received during this difficult time.
