Presidency Reacts as EFCC Declares Atiku’s Son-in-Law Wanted

The Presidency has supported the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in declaring Abdullahi Haske, the son-in-law of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, wanted. Haske, the founder of AA R Investment Group, is being investigated for alleged criminal conspiracy and money laundering.

The EFCC stated that Haske flouted bail conditions and refused to comply with repeated summons. Atiku's spokesperson, Paul Ibe, called the move political persecution, while the Presidency dismissed this claim.

Presidential adviser Sunday Dare stated that the EFCC is acting within its constitutional mandate and conducting a lawful operation. The administration reaffirmed its commitment to due process and the rule of law, emphasizing that attempts to politicize the case are misguided.

Haske has been in hiding since securing bail last month.
