Tinubu Approves N1.85 Billion for Rescued Chibok Girls' Education and Rehabilitation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a N1.85 billion intervention program to support the education and rehabilitation of the rescued Chibok girls until 2027. The Federal Ministry of Education revealed that out of the 108 rescued girls, 68 are currently enrolled at the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, with their tuition and accommodation fully covered by the government.

The program includes vocational training, psychosocial care, and various support services for the girls. The ministry highlighted the detailed breakdown of the budget, covering tuition, vocational training, accommodation, feeding, medical support, and more for the girls under the Chibok Girls Intervention Programme.
