Tinubu Commits to Nigerian Children's Education; FG Allocates N1.84bn for Chibok Girls

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to safeguarding the education future of Nigerian children as the Federal Government allocates N1.84 billion to fund the education and rehabilitation of the rescued Chibok schoolgirls. The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, revealed that the funds are part of the Chibok Girls Intervention Programme, covering tuition, accommodation, vocational training, psychosocial care, and support services until 2027.

Currently, 68 girls are enrolled at the American University Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Despite political criticism, the Federal Government continues to approve payments to AUN to ensure the girls' education remains uninterrupted.
