President Tinubu Celebrates Eid Prayers in Lagos

On Friday, President Bola Tinubu attended Eid prayers at the Defence Mosque in Lagos, celebrating the conclusion of the 2026 Ramadan fast. His arrival was marked by a significant security presence, and he was accompanied by First Lady Remi Tinubu.

Earlier reports indicated that President Tinubu had recently completed a state visit to the United Kingdom, where he spent the Sallah holiday. He departed for London on Tuesday, March 17, and engaged in discussions with King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle on March 18 and 19.

This visit was notable as it marked the first time in 37 years that a Nigerian leader hosted a British monarch at Windsor Castle, emphasizing the deep historical ties and special bond between Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Following his return, President Tinubu is expected to resume his official duties on Thursday night.
