Tinubu Congratulates Rangers FC on NPFL Title Win

President Bola Tinubu issued a statement congratulating Rangers International FC for winning the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title for the ninth time. The club finished the 2025/2026 NPFL campaign at the top of the table with 68 points after 38 matches, ahead of their closest rival, Rivers United FC.

Tinubu reminisced about the club's impressive history during the 1970s and 1980s, including multiple league and FA Cup titles, and highlighted their achievements in continental competitions. He also congratulated Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State, for the club's success, attributing it to the administration's investment in youth sports.

Tinubu praised Rangers International FC as one of Nigeria's oldest clubs, which has produced some of the nation's finest football players who have represented the country on the global stage. He wished both Rangers International FC and Rivers United FC success in the upcoming CAF Champions League.
