Tinubu Pursues Stronger Nigeria-France Economic Ties

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is advocating for a deeper economic partnership between Nigeria and France. This initiative was discussed during the 10th French-Nigerian Business Council meeting held on Wednesday, alongside the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya.

Tinubu described the meeting as a clear indication of Nigeria and France's commitment to tangible economic dialogue. The meeting was attended by Nigeria's Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwolu, and France's Minister Delegate, Nicola Forissi.

Notable Nigerian and French business leaders, including Aliko Dangote, Abdul Samad Rabiu, and Toni Elumelu, participated, reflecting increased confidence in Nigeria's economic reforms. Tinubu welcomed the signing of an agreement with Accor for Nigeria's first national hotel platform, viewing it as a significant vote of confidence in Nigeria's hospitality and tourism services.

He affirmed that his administration would continue to strengthen the business environment and support credible investors while deepening reforms to stabilize and enhance Nigeria's competitive economy.
