Tinubu Launches Major Economic Projects in Ekiti State

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated multi-billion naira economic and infrastructure projects in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State. This included the new zonal director office complex for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) along Old Iyin Road.

During his visit, Tinubu reiterated the federal government's commitment to strengthening anti-corruption institutions and ensuring accountability in both public and private sectors. He warned that corrupt officials would face consequences and emphasized that the fight against corruption is essential for Nigeria's economic recovery and investor confidence.

The president highlighted the recent achievements of the EFCC, including actions against financial crimes and illicit financial flows. He expressed confidence that the new EFCC facility would enhance the commission's effectiveness in tackling economic and financial crimes, thereby preserving public trust in the government.

The establishment of the Ekiti zonal director office aims to address operational challenges in Ekiti and Ondo states.
