Trump Predicts US-Cuba Agreement Without Military Force

On Saturday, President Donald Trump stated that he anticipates an agreement between the United States and Cuba, asserting that military action against Cuba is unlikely. His remarks were made at the White House before his departure for Tennessee.

The Trump administration has been applying pressure on the Cuban government, aiming to change its regime. Earlier this year, the U.S. imposed an oil blockade on Cuba, exacerbating the island's fuel shortages and power blackouts due to deteriorating infrastructure.

In a speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Trump labeled Cuba a "failed state," prompting the Cuban delegation to walk out. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez later indicated that Cuba is open to dialogue with the U.S., while condemning the longstanding U.S. trade embargo, which has been in place for over 60 years.

The Trump administration has intensified its pressure on Havana in recent months.
