Presidential Aide, Otega Ogra, faults Atiku’s ‘Uninformed’ TICAD Claims

Ogra clarified that the booth was part of a designated spillover area typically used by delegates without access to the main auditorium.

The Nigerian booth was continuously manned and styled as a permanent showcase for delegates to work and engage in official activities. Ogra emphasized that several countries also had quiet or lightly used spaces at the event.

He highlighted the strategic impact and purpose served by Nigeria's presence at TICAD, urging a focus on outcomes rather than optics. Ogra stressed the importance of substance over spectacle in diplomatic engagements, emphasizing the deliberate and strategic approach taken by Nigerian officials at the conference.
