Prestige Assurance Appoints New Non-Executive Director

Mr. Sivasankar is a graduate of Commerce and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII). He joined National Insurance Company Ltd. (NICL) in India in 1991 and has accumulated over 36 years of experience within that organisation. His career spans branch, divisional, regional, and head office levels.
His roles at NICL included heading the Accounts Department at a Divisional Office for approximately eight years, leading several Branch and Divisional Offices over 16 years, and managing Corporate and Large Claims for three years. He later rose to Chief Manager and subsequently Deputy General Manager, where he oversaw Fire and Engineering businesses, including Underwriting, Claims, and Techno-Marketing functions.
Most recently, Mr. Sivasankar was appointed as an Executive Director on the Board of New India Assurance on 20 February 2026. The announcement was signed by Mrs. Chidinma Ibe-Louis, Company Secretary of Prestige Assurance Plc.
