ADC Updates 2026 Primary Election Schedules and Fees

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced new schedules for its 2026 primary elections, as stated by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi. The nomination forms will be available for purchase from May 1 to May 4, 2026.

The submission of completed forms will occur from May 6 to May 13, 2026, with May 13 set as the final deadline for submissions. Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 14 and 15, 2026, with results to be published on May 17, 2026.

Appeals will be heard on May 18 and 19, 2026, and the final list of cleared aspirants will be published on May 20, 2026. The primary elections for state houses of assembly and houses of representatives will take place on May 21, 2026, followed by governorship primaries on May 22, 2026, and presidential primaries on May 23, 2026.

The nomination fees have been adjusted to N90,000,000 for presidential tickets, N30,000,000 for governorship, N10,000,000 for senate, N5,000,000 for houses of representatives, and N2,000,000 for state houses of assembly. The ADC will offer a 50% discount for youth aspirants aged 18-35 and a 25% discount for women and persons living with disabilities.
