Coalition Key for Opposition to Unseat Tinubu in 2027

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, advised that the only way for opposition parties to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election is to form a strong coalition. In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele emphasized that without uniting around a credible political platform, the opposition would struggle against Tinubu, who is already preparing for a second term.

He stated, “Tinubu has prepared for a second term and has gone ahead of everyone,” and suggested that the opposition should consist of four or five parties with similar political interests and clear manifestos. Ayodele warned that Tinubu's camp might attempt to infiltrate any opposition alliance, stating that there are two presidential candidates in the opposition already settled to disrupt the coalition.

He cautioned the opposition against underestimating Tinubu, asserting that a focused and coordinated strategy is essential for a successful challenge in 2027.
