Prime Suspect In NSCDC Officer’s Death Falls, Dies

A man suspected of involvement in the killing of a Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) officer in Jigawa State has reportedly fallen from a moving vehicle and died. The spokesman for the NSCDC command, ASC Badaruddeen Tijjani, announced the incident yesterday.

The officer, Bashir, was killed by a suspected hoodlum at the Shuwarin market in the Kiyawa local government area while on official duty. The suspect, a resident of Shuwarin Town, was arrested but managed to escape from custody while being transported to the command headquarters.

Despite sustaining severe injuries in the escape attempt, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Dutse General Hospital. The NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring justice for the deceased officer and maintaining law and order in the state.
