Suspected killer of NSCDC officer dies jumping from moving vehicle

A suspected killer of a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer in Jigawa State has died after allegedly jumping from a moving vehicle while being transported to the command headquarters. The deceased officer, SC Bashir, was attacked by a suspected hoodlum at Shuwarin market in Kiyawa Local Government Area while on official duty and was fatally stabbed.

The suspect, a resident of Shuwarin Town, was arrested on August 7 and was being transported to the command headquarters when he reportedly freed himself from handcuffs and jumped from the moving vehicle in an attempt to escape. The suspect sustained severe injuries and was taken to Dutse General Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The NSCDC spokesman, ASC Badaruddeen Tijjani, assured that the command will continue to pursue justice for the late officer and maintain law and order in the state.
