Osun APC Demands Probe into Alleged Attack on Monarch

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the state police command to investigate an alleged assassination attempt on Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, the Ataoja of Osogbo. The incident reportedly occurred when the monarch was visiting the Ajegunle area of Osogbo on Saturday, where he narrowly escaped an attack by unidentified hoodlums who shot sporadically around the palace.

The APC, through its spokesperson Kola Olabisi, expressed concern over the gravity of the situation and the need for a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served. The party emphasized that the public deserves to know the identities of the attackers and questioned why the police had not made any statements regarding the incident.

The APC also called for the public to assist the police in their investigation. This incident raises significant concerns about the safety of prominent figures in the state and the overall security situation.
