Hon. Obi Aguocha's Impact in Ikwuano Constituency

Hon. Obi Aguocha, elected in 2023, represents the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency and is being assessed for his performance as Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections.

Many constituents believe he has justified their mandate through his active role in the National Assembly. Aguocha has released a scorecard detailing his legislative achievements, including sponsoring or co-sponsoring 25 bills and six motions, ranking second among Abia State lawmakers, just behind Deputy Speaker Rt.

Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

His notable motions include advocating for Mandatory Universal Basic Education and reducing airline fares during peak travel seasons. Aguocha has also focused on education, initiating school construction and rehabilitation projects, including new classrooms at Ofeme and Ndume, Ibeku, and rehabilitating facilities at Amuzukwu Girls Secondary School.

Contracts for further classroom rehabilitation at Ohuhu Secondary School have also been awarded, demonstrating his commitment to improving educational infrastructure in his constituency.
