Nnenadi Usman Elected Labour Party National Chairman

Nnenadi Usman has been elected as the national chairman of the Labour Party during the party's national convention held in Umuahia. Usman, a former Minister of State for Finance and a former member of the House of Representatives, expressed her commitment to not letting the party down and called for support for the newly elected executive.

Hon. Iheanacho Obioma was elected as the national secretary of the party.

Dr. Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State and a key figure in Usman's emergence, spoke shortly after the inauguration of the new executive, urging them to work towards reconciling aggrieved members and to register new members as the party prepares for upcoming primaries.

Otti expressed optimism about the party's future and acknowledged Usman's past contributions, noting her transparency and experience in leadership roles. The convention marked a significant milestone in the party's history.
