Nigeria Must Avoid One-Party State, Says Prophet El-Buba

Prophet Isa El-Buba, founder of the initiative "Better Brighter Nigeria," stated that Nigeria cannot afford to transition into a one-party state. Speaking at a Social Democratic Party (SDP) convention in Bauchi on a Saturday, he urged Nigerians to ensure active participation in the electoral process leading to the 2027 general elections.

El-Buba expressed concern over the current administration's attempts to suppress opposition voices, which he described as an instrument of governance. He called for unity among Nigerians to rewrite the country's history, emphasizing that the nation cannot continue to endure painful and frustrating leadership.

El-Buba, alongside Princ Adewol Adebayo, highlighted the importance of supporting candidates who genuinely serve the interests of the people and work towards the recovery of Nigeria's soul. He stressed that historical change is necessary and that Nigerians must reject any moves that threaten democratic principles.
