Protesters Demand Action Against Kidnappings in Oyo State

On Monday, protesters defied heavy rainfall to march to the Oyo State government house in Ibadan, demanding urgent action regarding the worsening insecurity in the region, particularly the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area. The demonstrators initially gathered at Mokola Roundabout before proceeding to the government house, chanting solidarity songs and carrying placards with various inscriptions.

They expressed their determination not to be deterred by the downpour, emphasizing that their actions were a civic duty aimed at drawing attention to the plight of families affected by the kidnappings.
