NNPC's Kyari Interrogated Over Refinery Scandal, Passport Seized

NNPC's Kyari faced fresh interrogation at the EFCC over refinery scandal allegations, with his passport seized. Kyari, who spent hours being grilled, was ordered to return the next day for further questioning.

The EFCC froze four Jaiz Bank accounts linked to Kyari, uncovering $10m from a contractor involved in fraudulent refinery maintenance deals. The EFCC Chairman expressed dissatisfaction with the ongoing refinery issues despite substantial spending, including contract inflation and questionable payments.

Former refinery management members were also interrogated in connection with the scandal.
