Umahi Challenges Ohiri Over ₦280m Debt Claims

David Umahi, the Minister of Works and a senator, has challenged businesswoman Traci Ohiri to provide evidence of a ₦280 million debt concerning campaign materials. He has stated that if she can substantiate her claims, he would pay her ₦1 billion.

The situation escalated after Ohiri made allegations against Umahi, which included claims of sexual harassment. Following intervention from lawyer Marshal Abubakar, Ohiri deleted her posts and issued a public apology, retracting her allegations.

However, she later resurfaced with new claims, alleging coercion to retract her statement. Umahi's legal team is preparing to initiate court action against Ohiri if she fails to provide verifiable evidence.

Umahi emphasized that the matter could either be resolved in court or through Ohiri's provision of credible evidence. He also acknowledged that he has remained silent on public attacks for years but felt compelled to respond due to recent developments.
