Kwankwasiyya Movement Criticizes PRP Chairman's Claims

The Kwankwasiyya Movement, a support group for Rabi'u Kwankwaso, has publicly criticized Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the chairman of the People's Redemption Party (PRP), for his statements regarding the presidential ticket for the 2027 elections. Baba-Ahmed claimed that Kwankwaso sought the PRP's presidential ticket and that Peter Obi, a former Labour Party presidential candidate, had also approached the PRP for the same purpose.

Habeeb Saleh, a spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, dismissed Baba-Ahmed's allegations, asserting that they were merely attempts to attract public attention. Saleh emphasized that Kwankwaso had not formally approached the PRP for the presidential ticket and that the situation was well-known among Nigerians.

He also mentioned that Kwankwaso had not engaged in any formal discussions with Baba-Ahmed or the PRP regarding the ticket.
