Kwankwaso's Spokesperson Denies PRP Ticket Claims

Rabiu Kwankwaso's spokesperson, Habeeb Saleh Moham, has dismissed allegations that either Kwankwaso or Peter Obi requested the presidential ticket of the People's Redemption Party (PRP) for the 2027 elections. In an interview with DITV in Kaduna, Moham stated that the PRP does not grant automatic tickets to politicians without adhering to its internal democratic processes.

He clarified that while the PRP publicly invites politicians to join, there has been no official request from either Kwankwaso or Obi for a presidential ticket. Moham characterized the claims made by Baba Ahmad as baseless and unsubstantiated, suggesting that they were aimed at gaining attention amid the growing political relevance of both Kwankwaso and Obi as they pursue their presidential ambitions for 2027.

The PRP maintains that any aspirant must follow due internal procedures to be considered for the presidential candidacy.
