PSC Moves To Stop Corruption In Police Recruitment

The Police Service Commission (PSC) recently held a stakeholder consultative meeting to address corruption in police recruitment. The meeting, themed "collaborative approach to a transparent and equitable police recruitment process," took place at the commission's headquarters in Abuja.

The PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu, emphasized the need for transparency and fairness in the recruitment process, stating that the commission is committed to eradicating corrupt practices. The commission aims to prevent connivance and ensure that merit and equity guide the selection of candidates.

Retired Justice of the Supreme Court and honorable commissioner representing the Judiciary, Paul Adamu Galumje, highlighted the importance of equity and fairness in police recruitment. The new management is dedicated to reinventing the recruitment process to attract the best Nigerian youth into the police force.
