PSG Postpones Ligue 1 Match Ahead of Chelsea Clash

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has received approval from the Ligue de Football Professionnel to postpone their Ligue 1 match against FC Nantes, which was originally set for the weekend of March 13-15, 2024. This decision means that PSG will enjoy a five-day break before their Champions League clash against Chelsea, which is scheduled for March 11-17, 2024.

The postponement allows PSG to better prepare for the crucial European match. Chelsea, meanwhile, is set to host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday, March 14, 2024.

This is not the first instance of PSG benefiting from a similar adjustment, as they had a similar situation last season when their match against Nantes was moved to accommodate a Champions League quarter-final against Aston Villa. In their recent encounters, Chelsea has had success against PSG, notably winning 3-0 in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final.
