PSG Falls 2-1 to Monaco, Remains Winless in Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) faced a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Monaco at the Parc des Princes, marking their continued winless start to the Ligue 1 season. PSG's captain Marquinhos opened the scoring in the 31st minute, converting a cross from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

However, Monaco responded in the second half with Flavio Nazinho equalizing in the 58th minute, followed by Stanis Idumbo scoring the winner in the 72nd minute, assisted by Aleksandr Golovin. This loss leaves PSG with just two points from three matches, placing them seven points behind Monaco, who are currently leading the league with three wins from three games.

Prior to the match, PSG announced that coach Luis Enrique had signed a three-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2030. PSG's recent performances included a UEFA Super Cup victory against Aston Villa, but they also suffered a loss to Lens and two draws in their Ligue 1 matches.
