PSHAN Awards 2025: Celebrating Healthcare Champions

The Private Sector Health Alliance Nigeria (PSHAN) hosted its annual awards ceremony virtually on November 14, 2025, celebrating champions for change in the healthcare sector. The event recognized individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to improving healthcare access and outcomes across Nigeria.

Awards were presented across five major categories and 25 subcategories, including special recognitions such as the MVP category. Notable awards included the Healthcare Policy Champion Award to Abia State, the Maternal Equity Advancement Award to the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and the Outstanding Health Investigation Award to Damilola Ayeni.

Other recipients included Dr. Hadiza Shehu Galad for the Healthcare Leadership Award and Dr.

Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu for the Outstanding Medical Practitioner Award. The ceremony underscored the necessity of sustainable health investments and the adoption of primary healthcare facilities to achieve universal health coverage in Nigeria.
