PTDF Interviews 2,102 Candidates for PhD Scholarships

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has commenced the interview process for 2,102 candidates applying for its overseas PhD scholarship scheme. This exercise took place in Abuja, led by PTDF's Deputy General Manager of Education and Training, Dr.

Mohammed Bello Mustafa. The pool of candidates was drawn from a total of 30,000 applicants for both MSc and PhD programs.

The interviews for the MSc program were conducted the previous week across four centers, while the PhD program interviews began in the second week. Final candidates will be selected based on merit and available budgetary provisions.

The management's decision regarding the selection will be made at the end of the interview process. Recommendations will then be forwarded to management as per usual protocol.

Last year, the PTDF allocated scholarships based on oil-producing states, and the panelists, including Prof. Bashir Aliyu, assessed candidates based on the quality of their first degree, master's capacity, and ability to present their work.
