Adeyey Joseph Joins World Editors’ Forum Board

Adeyey Joseph, the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Director of Punch Nigeria Limited, has been appointed to the board of the World Editors’ Forum, as announced on Wednesday, October 25. This appointment positions Joseph among leading editors and media executives who will shape discussions on newsroom leadership and innovation in global journalism.

Cherilyn Ireton, the Executive Director of the World Editors’ Forum, expressed that Joseph's experience will enrich organizational discussions. David Walmsley, President of the World Editors’ Forum, welcomed Joseph, highlighting his valuable insights from a region often underrepresented in global media discussions.

Stig Rskov, Chief Executive Officer of the World Association of News Publishers, described Joseph's appointment as an honor and a significant moment for Nigerian journalism. Joseph has been with Punch since 2005 and has led significant digital transformations within the organization.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master’s degree in Digital Journalism from Middlesex University, UK.
