Experts Urge Nigeria to End Bandit Negotiations After Death

Following the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, Major Bashir Galma, a retired military officer and security analyst, has urged the Nigerian government to abandon negotiations with bandits. Galma argues that armed groups have repeatedly failed to honor peace agreements, and the situation has reached a critical stage.

He emphasizes the need for decisive action against criminal groups that receive logistical support from local communities. Galma convened a stakeholders' meeting in Katsina State to address security challenges.
