Katsina Governor Radda Distributes 90,000 Grain Bags

On [date not specified], Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, the Governor of Katsina State, initiated the distribution of 90,000 bags of 100kg assorted grains to vulnerable households across the state's 34 local government areas, starting in Kaita Local Government Area. This initiative aims to provide immediate relief to families facing economic challenges while supporting long-term food production and household livelihoods.

Governor Radda stated that the program reflects his administration's commitment to grassroots development, ensuring that government support reaches communities effectively. He highlighted previous assistance provided to women in Koko and Kosai businesses during Ramadan and support for 7,220 widows.

The governor acknowledged the Aliko Dangote Foundation's contributions to food relief efforts. He emphasized the importance of fair distribution, directing officials to avoid biases and prioritize vulnerable groups, including widows and low-income families.

The State Coordinator of the Community Development Programme, Kamaladden Kabir, confirmed that the program would be monitored to prevent diversion or hoarding of the grains.
