Osun Communities Face Power Outages Due to Rainfall

Several communities in Osun State are currently facing power outages attributed to heavy rainfall and technical faults affecting the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC). The company announced multiple power outages resulting from disruptions on its feeders, specifically the 11kV and 33kV feeders connected to various townships.

The affected areas include Nitel Palace, Poli Junction, Agbal 1, Odo Eja, Kanisuru, Agbal Hijra, Agbak 2, Gbogunmi, Hijra 2, Top Hill, St. Anthony, Ojoro, Akewula, Apena, Sabo Level, Cross Deeper Life, Wuraola, Olaiya, Aboto Barrack, Winner 440, Sawmil, INEC Camp, and Young Peace Estate.

The company is currently undergoing maintenance on the Kei feeder, which has also contributed to the outages. Notices have been issued to inform residents of the ongoing situation.
