Cleric Urges Muslims to Uphold Values During Ramadan

During a Ramadan lecture organized by Nollywood director Okiki Afolayan at Fortright Estate in Magboro, Ogun State, cleric Alli Abdulquadr Asaaju called on Muslims to be exemplary ambassadors of Islam. Asaaju, who is the rector of the Mahad Abdullah Bn Abaa Arab Islam Institute in Ikorodu, Lagos State, emphasized the need for Muslims to uphold moral values and demonstrate good conduct in their daily lives.

He preached against social vices such as theft and adultery, urging Muslims to practice their religion according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. Asaaju highlighted the importance of fulfilling promises and taking responsibility in leadership roles, stressing that Ramadan should inspire Muslims to improve their character and strengthen their faith.

He noted that the essence of Ramadan goes beyond fasting and should encourage Muslims to care for others and maintain good behavior throughout the year.
