Enugu Rangers Clinch 9th NPFL Title with 2-1 Win

Enugu Rangers triumphed over Ikorodu City FC with a score of 2-1 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, securing their ninth Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title, thus equaling the record held by Enyimba. Captain Chidieber Nwobodo played a pivotal role, scoring both goals for Rangers, the first in the 30th minute and the second in the 52nd minute.

Although Ikorodu City managed to pull one back through a goal from Mose Bada, they could not find an equalizer, leading to anxiety among Rangers fans. Rangers finished the season with 68 points, placing them ahead of second-place Rivers United, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to Katsina United.

This victory also earned Rangers a spot in the CAF Champions League, while Ikorodu City aimed for a continental ticket in the CAF Confederation Cup but fell short.
