REA and Partners Launch SPV to Boost Solar Manufacturing in Nigeria

The Rural Electrification Agency (REA), InfraCorp, and Solarge BV have established Solarge Nigeria Limited to accelerate solar manufacturing in Nigeria, targeting 50% local content within three years. This Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) aims to operate a 1 gigawatt solar PV panel facility in line with the National Public Sector Solarisation Initiative.

The agreement, signed at InfraCorp's office in Abuja, aligns with Nigeria's energy transition and industrialization goals. REA seeks to enhance clean energy access and local content in the renewable energy sector through this partnership, leveraging InfraCorp's investment capacity and Solarge BV's technology expertise to localize solar manufacturing in the country.
