Osun Government Lists Reasons Against Oyebamiji's Candidacy

The Osun State government, represented by Governor Ademola Adeleke and spokesperson Mallam Olawal Rashe, has launched a direct attack on Bola Oyebamiji, the APC gubernatorial candidate, citing 23 reasons for his unfitness for the governorship. The allegations include mismanagement of the Osun State Investment Company (OSICOL), where Oyebamiji is accused of mishandling resources and failing to share earnings from state investments, particularly in the Segilola mining project.

Additionally, the APC candidate is criticized for endorsing anti-worker policies, including the non-payment of pensions and promoting half salaries for workers. The government also claims that Oyebamiji's administration mismanaged a $20 million World Bank grant for primary healthcare, which allegedly became a slush fund.

Furthermore, the state debt was reportedly at a high in 2022, which Governor Adeleke has since reduced by 40%. The campaign against Oyebamiji will officially commence on March 11, with further details to be disclosed.
