Red Cross Urges Support for Vulnerable in Plateau State

The Nigerian Red Cross Society has renewed its call for enhanced support for vulnerable persons across Plateau State. This appeal was made during an event commemorating World Red Cross Day, which featured a road walk led by officials and volunteers.

Nuruddeen Hussaini Magaaji, the Secretary of the Plateau State branch, urged residents to understand and support the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross. He emphasized that the organization operates solely on humanitarian principles, without discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation.

The road walk aimed to raise awareness and encourage citizens to participate in humanitarian efforts, particularly in providing relief services to displaced persons and vulnerable communities throughout the state. The event also served to honor Henri Dunant, the founder of modern humanitarian services.
