Nigerian Red Cross Supports 300 Flood Victims in Sokoto State with WASH Materials

The Nigerian Red Cross Society, with support from the Italian Government, distributed Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) materials to 300 flood-affected individuals in Sokoto State. The initiative aims to prevent waterborne diseases and improve hygiene practices among flood victims.

Gabriel Nashon, the State Disaster Management Coordinator, highlighted the importance of essential hygiene items in promoting a clean environment and reducing disease risks. The intervention complements previous preparedness activities conducted in collaboration with SEMA, NEMA, and local stakeholders.
