Wike Faction Urges Bode George to Rejoin PDP Mainstream

The faction loyal to Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, has appealed to Chief Bode George to rejoin the mainstream leadership structure of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Hakeem Olalemi, the state organizing secretary of the faction, made this appeal during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.

George, a former deputy national chairman of the PDP, has aligned himself with Dr. Kabiru Turaki, who leads the national working committee that supports Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Despite being a fierce critic of Wike's actions regarding the PDP, Olalemi stated that George remains a respected leader and an integral member of the PDP family. He emphasized that George's experience is a vital asset to the party, and he should return to the mainstream leadership structure for the party's progress.

Olalemi expressed that the PDP remains united as a family despite differences among its leaders and members.
