Lagos PDP Suspends Bode George and 23 Others

The Lagos State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) announced the suspension of former Deputy National Chairman Bode George and 23 other members due to alleged anti-party activities. This decision was made during a meeting held on May 26, 2026, and was communicated in a statement signed by the chairman of the party's disciplinary committee, Kayod Ogunbiyi, and the committee's secretary, Desmond Agbo.

The committee emphasized that the party could no longer accommodate actions that could cause division and disaffection among its members. The resolution followed various petitions against notable members, including Bode George, who was previously suspended by the party's National Executive Committee (NEC).

The committee reaffirmed the validity of earlier suspensions and stated that members found collaborating with rival political parties or engaging in unauthorized political activities would be barred from participating in PDP activities within Lagos State. Legal action may be taken against members whose conduct is deemed contrary to the party's interests.
