Obidients Movement Urges Vigilance During FCT Results

The Obidients Movement, represented by Yunusa Tanko, has called on Nigerians to remain alert and vigilant as the collation of results for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections resumes. A statement issued on Saturday expressed concerns regarding alleged malfunctions in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) results portal, known as the IREV.

Reports indicated that the IREV server was active but did not display results that were reportedly uploaded successfully from various polling units. The movement encouraged citizens to observe the collation process at the INEC office in Area 10, Karu, to ensure accurate results and proper verification of the polling unit data.

The statement emphasized the importance of remaining calm, abiding by the law, and protecting the integrity of the electoral process. The FCT area council elections were conducted across six councils in Abuja, including Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Abaji, and Kwali, with the aim of testing grassroots political strength in the nation's capital.
