86 Abducted Kaduna Worshippers Regain Freedom After Bandit Kidnapping

In Kaduna State, 86 worshippers who were abducted during a church service in Kurmin Wali community on January 18, 2026, have been released by bandits. The village head, Mr.

Ishaku Dan Azumi, and the Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Caleb Maji, confirmed the release.

Governor Uba Sani visited the 80 victims who had earlier escaped captivity, ensuring they received medical treatment and psychosocial therapy. During the visit, the governor expressed sympathy for the victims and assured that the remaining abductees would be freed within a few days.
