Hajiya Umma El-Rufai's Remains Arrive in Abuja for Burial

The remains of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, arrived in Abuja for burial after she passed away on March 27 in Cairo, Egypt, due to a brief illness. Moham El-Rufai, a member of the House of Representatives for Kaduna North, confirmed the funeral arrangements in a statement.

The remains were safely received in Abuja on Sunday morning, and a janazah prayer is scheduled for 1 PM at the National Mosque. Following the prayer, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai will be buried at Gudu Cemetery.

Notably, she was reportedly in Cairo with her son at the time of her death. The burial rites will be attended by family and notable Nigerians who are expected to pay tribute to the late Hajiya El-Rufai.
