Nigerian Afrobeats star Divine Joshua Ikubor, known as Rema, has made history with his debut album "Rave & Roses," which has reached 200 weeks on the Billboard World Albums chart as of September 10. This achievement marks "Rave & Roses" as the first African album to hit 200 weeks on the chart, solidifying its status as the longest-charting African project on this tally.

The album was released on March 25, 2022, through Jonzing World and Mavin Records, showcasing Rema's Afrorave sound that blends Afrobeats with pop and R&B elements. The 16-track album includes notable songs such as "Calm Down," "Soundgasm," "Holiday," "Charm," "Time N Affection" featuring Chris Brown, and "FYN" featuring AJ Tracey.

A significant factor contributing to the album's global success has been the track "Calm Down," which gained immense popularity following a remix featuring Selena Gomez.
